Kate Borows-Lai

Kate Borows-Lai ’26 is a Psychology major and CEAS (College of East Asian Studies) minor. In her hometown of New York City, she works with the GO Project, a nonprofit organization that provides supplementary help for students struggling academically due to socioeconomic and race-based inequalities in local public schools. On campus, she works for Long Lane Farm, where she does administrative work and community outreach in addition to manual farm work. She also volunteers for Snow School’s new nature-based preschool program. Kate is interested in applying her studies of psychology and her passion for the natural world to unite and strengthen marginalized communities. She aims to have a career in social work or the nonprofit sector. When she’s not at the farm in her free time, she loves to bike and crochet.
